Tina,

When I was evaluated for transplant, I did not even want to go for the work up. I did not want transplant, but my doctor insisted. My quality of life was not soooo bad. I was turned down because of a blood clotting problem associated with connective tissue diseases. My 02 was at 2L-5L. Now I am at 8L -10L. I cannot walk through my house without dropping sats. I am mostly homebound.

So, if I had the opportunity today to have a new lung. Oh, believe me, I would go in a heartbeat. This is miserable. I am 63 and that seems old to a lot of you babies, but my spirit doesn't feel 63. My husband is going to retire this year and we had so many plans.

You are so blessed to be able to be treated at a facility like Cleveland Clinic. They are among the best.
