Hi Carol

I can't tolerate dairy, so always leave that out from any recipes I make. I just substitute and adapt the recipes. I add extra moisture to the batter in nut flour recipes in the form of applesauce or juices. In other dishes that call for yogurt and/or cheese I just leave off that item -- or I don't make the recipe.

I can handle eggs, so haven't had to figure out alternatives for that. There are some eggless recipes on the www.pecanbread.com website, as there are plenty of people on SCD who can't handle eggs.

To be honest, I don't make too many SCD recipes because I have functional upper GI disorders and can't handle seasonings or fiber or fat. That eliminates a lot of ingredients in the recipes. I do try a recipe occasionally (I have several of the SCD cookbooks), and adapt or substitute. But most days I just stick to my simple and bland foods. I eat quite well, though, on the SCD foods I do eat, and have my digestive symptoms under control these days.

Also, in case it helps, I had extensive food sensitivities when I started SCD that have since cleared up, with the exception of a few foods that I just don't eat too often or avoid completely.

I have developed antibodies to both eggs and dairy (and garlic, among others), and need to avoid them until my gut heals. It makes following some of the recipes hard, and limits my food choices that much further.I'm wondering if anybody has any GOOD bread recipes (no bread machine) that don't use eggs or dairy (ghee or the like). Also, any general recipes would be great, too. (A google search wasn't very fruitful.)Thanks so much for any help you might give.Happy day!~ Carol
