Hi all. I'm looking for the best way to heat up a plate of food,

buffet-style, since I too have banished our microwave to the garage.

If it's a toaster/convection oven that I should use, which brand/model

do you prefer? I'd of course like to use it to toast nut breads as

well, and I hear some do that better than others.

Thanks again for all of the knowledge so many of you patiently send out

to us newbies!

, I have a toaster oven that is GE and it works good for us. I know convection ovens are good but I don't have experience with them. Good for you, getting rid of the microwave. Katy

Hey !

My husband and I also got rid of our microwave over a year and a

half ago and have never looked back! We initially had an inexpensive

toaster oven purchased from KMart, and it actually lasted us for a

while before it just went to pieces. We now have an Oster

convection/toaster oven and LOVE it! It is much larger, so we can

put in an entire plate of food to heat it up. Primarily we use the

convection feature to heat up our food - it takes longer than a

microwave, but totally worth it!

A toaster oven. However, brand a model... uh, they change like

fashionable clothes. <grin> I'm going shopping for one soon as mine

has given up the ghost. I know they don't make the one I have any more.

Which is a pity, since I like it.
