Guest guest
In my opinion you should eat smaller meals, probably have something ever hour or two. Try and have a good protein, fat and carb at the same time. Like appple sauce and cheese or a spoonful of nut butter with pear sauce, or full fat yogurt with handful of nuts, etc. It will help keep your blood sugar more normal so you don't have the dips. Katy what are other good ways to regulate blood sugar via food? _____________________________________________________________Don't risk your health! Click now for professional mold remediation! Guest guest
Hi Jodi,The only two ways I know to regulate blood sugar are:1.) consume protein with every carb source2.) consume smaller meals, more spread out during the dayIf you're super sensitive, you may get relief by eliminating (as you said you have done) things like honey.I personally cannot drink any juice straight-up because it goes right through me and causes wonderful energy spikes but then horrendous energy crashes (where I feel like I've been hit by a truck.) It's even worse if I drink juice during my pre-menstrual week. Feedback from people I care about, plus a strong sense of self-preservation, has taught me to stop taking concentrated sweets as they impact my mood too much. :-)From what you describe, it's not clear to me if you've got a pure intolerance to grape juice, or if you're sensitive to a particular set of circumstances or food combination with the grape juice. In other words, would the juice suit you better if more diluted, or combined with a protein source? I will say that based on my own yeast issues, grape juice is always bad news for me, no matter how I combine it or consume it. It causes a yeast surge, energy spikes, and general feeling of being drugged and spaced out. I've been told by yeastie folks that grapes are very moldy and apt to cause brain fog and such in yeast- and mold-sensitive individuals.Best, Nina in MA Never miss a thing. Make Yahoo your homepage. Apple cider, grape juice and honey are on the fructose list. Can you try only the no fructose/lower fructose fruit and test whether you feel the same - strawberries, blue/black/rap/cranberries, banana, etc. > my question is- am i feeding the yeast this way? > > do i have a sensitivity? > > i have had to totally cut out honey from my diet. as it usually makes > me feel bloated and also gives me a rush but i find i have a hard time > with self control when it comes to just limiting it to a teaspoon so > i just went cold turkey.
