Heyla, folks....

I'd planned to post a long note about what had been happening this week,

but the necessity of getting all my food ready (since the hospital states

that it can't guarantee safe food per my diet) for Harry to bring up when

the doctor lets me have any, and other medical gyrations has made it

impossible for me to pull a report together.

Tomorrow morning, I report to Touro Hospital for 7:15 AM (Central

Daylight Time, GMT-5) for the plastic surgeon to " mark me " for

that part of the operation.

Then I go uptown to see my acupuncturist for an oncologist-okayed pre-op

treatment.

Then I come back to Touro Hospital to check in.

The surgery is scheduled for noon.

I would ask that you surround not only me, but my surgeons and their

assistants and all those who will care for me with prayers, healing

thoughts, pink lights, and all good things.

By this time tomorrow, the operation will be over, and I pray that the

cancer has not spread, and all I must do is heal from the surgery and

prepare to resume my life.

I am truly, and sincerely frightened of an operation my oncologist

describes as " challenging, " in significant measure, because of

my weight. I remind myself that, thanks to SCD, I am in much, much better

health than I was for the gallbladder surgery in 2001, and that I weigh

180 pounds less than I did then. Knowing that I am in your thoughts

helps, more than you can possibly know.

With gratitude and love,

Marilyn

My thoughts are with you Marilyn. You've made such a

difference for all of us with your wizop skills. And

your patience and your articulateness and your

leadership. May all the best come to you and may

tomorrow go as well as can be hoped for.

See you online soon.

And a fast and easy recovery.

Regards,

Mara
