Hello, Jodi. My name is Jon Woolf; I'm a close friend of Marilyn Alm.

She asked me to relay news on her surgery outcome to all her online

friends as soon as her husband Harry could get it to me. Here's

update #1, with everything I know as of this moment, 9:50PM EDT:

* The surgery was scheduled to start at noon. When it actually

started I don't know, but it ended about 6PM Central, or 7PM Eastern.

* The surgery went very well, according to both the oncologist/surgeon

and the plastic surgeon.

* Marilyn is currently in recovery. Harry had not yet been able to

talk to her. When she's released from recovery she will be moved

directly to a regular hospital room, not an Intensive Care room. I am

no doctor, not even close, but this strikes me as a good sign, and

consistent with the " went very well " description of the surgery.

More information when I have it.

Thanks soooo much for the update! Yes, it sounds really encouraging that Marilyn will be going to a regular hospital room after recovery room rather than the ICU. Let her know we're thinking about and continuing to pray for her speedy recovery.

Hope Harry and the dachshunds are doing okay, too!
