Guest guest
We just got the news last night that our treatment using the Ponseti Method will be fully covered! We did not wait to treat Christian as we beleived that it was crucial to start the Ponseti treatment right away. Christian had two casts with another physician before we switched. A few hints, write down everything! We have pages and pages of every phone call including the date, time and the person we spoke with. We simply hung in there. Check the contract your company has with the insurance company, Ed works for a school district as a teacher and they had an insurance broker that also helped us. For instance, the review Dr. who denied our review did not speak with our practing physician, as was stipulated in the insuance company's contract with the school. We made sure that the insuance company followed procedure and the contract to the letter, dotting every i and crossing every t! I also wanted to comment that we had three physicians who claimed to practice the method when they did not. I would like to think that these physicians are simply misinformed. Some seem to think that they can use parts of the method and that that is sufficient, however this is more like baking a cake and leaving out the baking soda or skipping the egg! Good Luck and give the insurance compamy a good fight! I'm so glad to hear you're going to Iowa. If we had waited for our insurance company we wouldn't have begun until Chrisitan was already three months old.
