Guest guest
Actually I have never worn make-up! Irene ---- Original Message ---- To: Breathe-Support Sent: Sun, 6 Jan 2008 9:58 pm Subject: Re: One for the girls wearing cannulas. Do you wear make up? Man's Comment I think the real answer is does it make you feel better. As a man, and I can't speak for all of us, I'm just as happy one way or the other and if you were my spouse or a friend in my life it wouldn't matter to be at all. However, I think so many women are use to themselves with make up and their hair fixed and going to that effort is uplifting. I have a friend who has a five year old daughter and I remember one day a year ago, her daughter realized she was down. Now the mother was going nowheter that day, But still her daughter said, "mommy why don't you put on your make up and dress up. That always makes you feel better." Out of the mouths of babes. This isn't a matter of cannulas, but a matter of will putting on makeup make you feel better. If so, the other women are offering suggestions and I can't help you there. > > Zena, I wear a great brand of make-up when and if I have the energy to put it on. > I found the best foundation from Bare Escentuals..it's totally natural, no fake anything. > It's a mineral powder make-up put on very easily with a brush. > It really covers all the areas I need covering. > I don't know whether it's available in the UK. > It is on our QVC ocassionally ..and on the website too. > > -- > Z.fibriotic NSIP/05/ "mild" PH 10/07 PA > Reynaud's too!!! > Potter, reader, carousel lover, and MomMom to Darah > "I'm gonna be iron like a lion in Zion." Guest guest
S. You are so right. If I try to look my best,I always feel better! I get up every day, shower and get dressed in regular clothes...not PJ's even if I have no reason to go out. I feel better that way. I may not do make-up but I do the best I can with my hair! Guest guest
Bruce, Sometimes I wear make up and sometimes I don't. It isn't a big deal for me to wear any if I'm walking the dog or going shopping, but I like to wear some if I'm going out, although sometimes I do look at me in the mirror and think errgh! need something! Since having to wear the tubes full time when I've worn make up I've only put it on my eyes and lips and left my cheeks alone as I don't want the makeup to be rubbed off, but as I have high colour in my cheeks this can look disjointed. Guest guest
Then on those occasions it makes you feel good and is good for you to do. I honestly do think makeup is far more a thing perpetuated by women and they've made men use to thinking of them as wearing it when they " dress up " . But, to most men, we think you are all lovely either way. However, the key is for you to feel lovely. > > > > > > Zena, I wear a great brand of make-up when and if I have the > > energy to put it on. > > > I found the best foundation from Bare Escentuals..it's totally > > natural, no fake anything. > > > It's a mineral powder make-up put on very easily with a brush. > > > It really covers all the areas I need covering. > > > I don't know whether it's available in the UK. > > > It is on our QVC ocassionally ..and on the website too. > > > > > > -- > > > Z.fibriotic NSIP/05/ " mild " PH 10/07 PA > > > Reynaud's too!!! > > > Potter, reader, carousel lover, and MomMom to Darah > > > " I'm gonna be iron like a lion in Zion. Guest guest
I couldn't agree more with the 'perpetuated by women' thing. I know that Rob couldn't care either way if I'm wearing make up, so long as I'm happy in myself. What I do like, however, is, as I don't wear make up all the time, the attention I get when I do. I also find that most men I know like women to be soft and curvy (no problems there for me then) and when they see the size 0 models and actresses etc, the cry of 'eat some food' goes up. The idea of a size 0 seems to be perpetuated by women too. Me, I like my curves and I'm happy with or without make up Love Ze xx > > > >> > > > Zena, I wear a great brand of make-up when and if I have the> > > energy to put it on.> > > > I found the best foundation from Bare Escentuals..it's totally> > > natural, no fake anything.> > > > It's a mineral powder make-up put on very easily with a brush.> > > > It really covers all the areas I need covering.> > > > I don't know whether it's available in the UK.> > > > It is on our QVC ocassionally ..and on the website too.> > > >> > > > --> > > > Z.fibriotic NSIP/05/ "mild" PH 10/07 PA> > > > Reynaud's too!!!> > > > Potter, reader, carousel lover, and MomMom to Darah> > > > "I'm gonna be iron like a lion in Zion."
