She has such a hard time expressing how she feels, I really have to watch every move she makes to figure out how she is feeling. I too send in a note and tell them to call me if she is not feeling well. She usually surprises me and does fine once she is there. My advice, not much but it's something, if you are in serious doubt then keep him home...a little down time once in awhile is just what they need to perk back up. I tend to keep the kids home easily, I wish more parents did that. So many send their kids in when they are sick. Enjoy your week-end. Guest guest
Kathy, Thank you so much for the response. I am hopeing it will get better soon too. I did send him to school today b/c he very much wanted to go. I stressed to him that if he feels tierd, or not feeling well to please have the teacher call me. Yeah right. He won't. He'll go til' he pukes!!!! Then I'll have the rotten attitude to deal w/ b/c he's exhausted when he gets home. But, I believe that he needs to learn to make the decisions about school. Anyway, sorry to gripe again. I hope you all have a great weekend. We will try to here. Take care all, Re: Just an update >From: KajeGood@... > > - Hang in there. We will pray for you. Guest guest
Dear , First of all; don't mind venting, that is what we are here for! Secondly, I just wanted to let you know that I will be thinking about you and your boys. Hopefully this will work out. Please keep us posted. (mother of , 10 wcf, and , 2 nocf) Just an update You know I want to first apologize if I sound like I am complaining at all. I just need to vent in a way I guess and well, you all are the best to vent to. Kodey has been off the iv antibiotics for one week tomorrow and his cough is back. I thought it was only due to changes in the weather before but now I'm wondering if it's not more. He started right away this morning when he got up but it is very cold compared to yesterday. He has been complaining of a headache most of the day and he's been coming very close to vomitting a couple of times. I just feel bad for him. Then now with school.....I hate to not send him for fear he's not feeling well but then if I do send him and he really starts to get sick, I will feel like dirt. Like I'm not doing my job as his mom. It's all gets so much more confusing when they are school age. A whole new twist on how to handle things you've been handleing just fine for the first 5 yrs. Anyway, then there's r and I realize he doesn't have cf but I feel he plays a role in the whole scheem of things. He's had this persistant little barky cough for about oh, 3 months now. I've had him to the doc a lot then to two different ENT's b/c he has a lot of trouble with one of his ears. Never an actual infection just some wetness problems. Anyway, we have treated him w/ oral antibiotics, decongestants, and cough syrups. Nothing seems to help. He even wheezes sometimes if he and Kod are playing really rough. It's not like an asthma tight wheeze, it's like a junky mucus wheeze. I just don't know what more to do about that. I told the doc today, I just don't want him to have anything to hand over to his brother the cfer!!! She said she can't see one single thing that could be wrong. Got me hangin'!!!!!!! I just have this bad gut feeling about Kodey. It's making me a bit on the depressed side b/c it's like I'm waiting for something to happen. That's terrible I know, but true. Usually when I actually say that I have any kind of gut feeling it doesn't happen, so you all are my witnesses that I said that so it WILL NOT, CAN NOT happen. I don't know what they would do but the nurse said they won't throw him back on iv antibiotics so we'll see. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers. Love to you all and God bless, mom of 2 boys Kodey 5yowcf, r 2yowocf
