Guest guest
Hi Kathy, My health journey started when my daughter had pinworms. She had a bad case for 3 yrs, and the pediatrician just kept making different excuses for her symptoms. I wouldn't have believed it, if I hadn't seen it with my own eyes. They say parasites love sugar just like we do and the weaker the host, the more likely that you have them. I couldn't sleep for weeks after that. I would love it, if you could post about the sausage making. Susie klkwhite wrote: Kathy and I went to our favourite butcher shop, Horizon Meats, the other day. The man there recognized Kathy and was very friendly. He said, "You know how we thought you were crazy to want bacon made with honey instead of sugar? Well, it's now our best seller." These guys are very nice, remember you when you go in, and do custom stuff. They are at Bay 1, 3610, 29th St. NE, Calgary, and have a web site at http://www.horizonmeats.ca which I have never visited. Or you could just phone them at 403 291-0595. Kathy and I have also been making our own sausages recently, which is an interesting procedure, and if anyone is interested I could post a few details about getting started, since there are a few points that look impossible until you know what to do, and then are easy. Connor is still not doing all that well, but seems to be improving a little bit - he was doing really well for about five years and then suddenly went downhill. This summer we have made friends with Misty, our neighbor across the street, who used to run a traveling circus in Mexico. She gave us a packet of de-worming pills and said, "No doctor in Mexico would see you with digestive problems until you have been wormed." Since Connor initially became sick after swimming in Lake Shuswap and swallowing some water this is interesting. Kathy pointed out that we were told that the lake water is safe to drink, and another one of our neighbors said, "That's pretty funny. I lived there when they took down the signs saying not to drink the water. It's full of amoebas and giardia." So we have wormed Connor and we will see. I will say again that all of this stuff will be easily curable when we finally face the obvious: that this is entirely due to different bacterial and parasitic infestations, and that we will have to look for a different cause, or combination of causes, in each case. It is obvious that having one type of parasite makes you a good target for others, and it also seems likely that any immune disfunction is not because your immune system suddenly tries to kill you, any more than your left arm might suddenly decide to throttle you. The only way that most of these things can survive inside you is by secreting substances that mess with your immune system, and it is very likely that this is the cause of any immune troubles - they are a symptom and not the cause. Any other explanation is so tortuous as to be unbelievable, and - more importantly - doesn't let you cure the disease.
