October 22, 2008 (9:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.) Florida Alternate Assessment and Reading/Language Arts Access Points The purpose of this workshop is to familiarize parents with the Florida Alternate Assessment and the new Reading/Language Arts Access Points. Alternate Assessment is required for students who have an Individual Educational Plan (IEP) and are unable to participate in state or local assessments. Information will be disseminated to families to increase understanding of the Alternate Assessment process and the new Reading/Language Arts Access Points.
