Guest guest
Have a Great Week All! Some you might remember on Friday I was seen in ER because of toe pain, burning, swelling, redness and couldn't walk. I was put on Keflex 500mg x4 times a day. I didn't question the dr why I need such a high antibiotic, was told to finish the whole bottle, very important and if I get a fever return to ER. On Saturday, drained out as much as green pus I could, cleaned out the wound with Peroxyde and removed excess skin. On Sunday I did the same thing. Until last night I started getting very severe tingling sensations. I went back to ER, X-Rays were taken to see if infection spread to bones, dr put an antibiotic cream and a dressing on it. Pretty much told me "Avoid from poking it". The tingling sensation will be present until the infection clears out. As I was leaving asked him for the pink sheet, which we get after an ER visit. The diagnosis: Toe Cellulitis PS: I wouldn't recommend to anyone draining pus WITHOUT a dr's supervision...ALWAYS have a dr present. I Wish I knew since Friday it was Cellulitis. Guest guest
Yeah Irene got to be careful with that stuff. I get that all the time and for me it puts me in the hospital, either it turns to flesh eating bacteria or its in my face and that requires hospitalization I guess. Hang in there and take all the medication they give you! Guest guest
Oh, I like your P.S. Guess its a good thing I'm squeamish to start with and never would have thought of doing it myself. Sometimes being a wimp is advantageous. lol > > Have a Great Week All! > > Some you might remember on Friday I was seen in ER because of toe pain, burning, swelling, redness and couldn't walk.
