Guest guest
Terri My non Cfer, 5yrs old, always get a croupy cough she has had it 6 times in the last 7 months. Could this be upper airway asthma problems? Or is it just the croup like the GP Ped says? I was going to have her checked out by the Pulm in April when we go back with the big one for PFTS and stuff. Any ideas or am I just over reacting? Meg
Guest guest
(triplet mum) Our Ainslie,7 1/2, gets the cracked lips when she is having sinus problems, this also is generally around with croup as well. Our GP informed me that the croup 'cough' can stay around quite a while. Both my kids get croup but with Connor, no cf,it tends to hang around little longer. I am tending to think that it may be more of an allergy issue as it always happens in Spring, whereas Ainslie's happens whenever her nose is playing havoc. She had sinus surgey when she was nearly 5 and again 6 months later, before that she had alot of croup and an awful lot of mouth breathing and cracked lips and I was adamant that because she couldn't breathe through her nose her chest was worse. Now she doesn't have half the problems she had then. Hope this helps a little. Terri
