Guest guest
If you wanted to treat rosacea with hydrocortisone, you can buy the 1% solution over the counter. But I would not recommend it, even at that percentage -- I don't care what the derm says! My derm thought it was fine to use that for rosacea too. And it does help immediately if you have the itchiness and bumps. But long term it just weakens the skin further. I'd never use it again. Guest guest
<<<<<>>>> Don't believe it for a minute! Cortisone is cortisone. (As for percentages, Elocon is also 1%.) I know a lady who had a horrific time getting off of the Vytone. Her whole face turned to hamburger. Once your skin gets addicted to it (and this can happen even with thrice weekly applications), you can get side effects, and then a horrible rebound effect when you try to get off of it. Hydrocortisone in any form is the worst possible thing you could do for your cea. It's seductive, because it hides the symptooms in the short term, but makes the actual cea much worse, and it will come forth with a vengeance when you try to stop the cortisone. Using a dab of over the counter hydrocortisone on my face in the first place is what first started up my cea in a big way! Just a friendly warning, so you don't go down the road I did. Trust me, you DON'T want to go that route!
