Guest guest
Any of you ever been given replacement schedules on the bottles? They are plastic, cheap. I don't care how well you wash them, ultimately plastic needs replacing for protection against bacteria as well as for the deterioration of the threads. And now they are saying on them and CPAPS to wash once per week? I would never go that long. I never refill mine without washing it so do it 2-3 times per week and feel guilty sometimes I don't daily. And, does everyone have two so they can just switch them out? Not be without while washing? > > > Yesterday the washer/dryer were delivered before Eddie got home. Here I > am trying to get Max on the leash and he is barking. Guest guest
Bruce, for 2 1/2 years I have changed out my tubing water bottle and cannula at LEAST every other week. usually every week. I buy my cannulas on line so once in a while I wash them in very warm water and soap rinse well the in a viniger soak for about 10 min or so. I want to know what is going in my lungs. A couple of delivery people have tried to NOT give me the supplies but none of them have gotten out the door unless I get what I want. lol yep a bit hard headed. Guest guest
Jane when I go to my back door I sometimes get the hose caught on the couch and jerk it so hard and am always so tickled when it comes loose. well one day it came loose alright from the bottle. i can't see the machine cause it's behind a chair. I too thought OH LORDY I'M COMIN HOME.. lol brought me back to reality.. plugged me back in. LOL Sometimes I just laugh at myself and this hose. Oh yes I do keep about four bottles extra. Love and Prayers, Peggy ipf 6/04 Florida " Worry looks around, Sorry looks back, Faith looks up. " Yesterday the washer/dryer were delivered before Eddie got home. Here I am trying to get Max on the leash and he is barking. I am glad they are at my house but I knew it would fall in my hands to take care of them. I instructed them to go to the back door. The old washer/dryer had to be disconnected The men are standing on my patio and I am trying to get them to be friends with Max. I am so out of breath I had no idea why. Then Eddie comes in the front door as they load the old washer/dryer on the truck. As I walk through the dining area, I see the end of my cannula on the floor. So that is why I am out of breath. As I put it on the bottle, the bottle almost falls off, it is so loose. I don't know why this happens. Max has messed up the cannula but not the bottle. Who knows! Toodles! Guest guest
Well, I haven't done it as long, but thats basically what I do. I'm not going to risk my entire well being over a $5 item. > > > > > > Yesterday the washer/dryer were delivered before Eddie got home. > Here I > > am trying to get Max on the leash and he is barking. Guest guest
Bruce, I usually don't have trouble getting water bottles. Had to wait a bit for these high flow bottles. I clean my water bottle with my nebulizer parts and my flutter valve. I wash and soak in vinegar water every day on the nebs and about every 3 days on the water bottles. I air dry.....thoroughly. I am more afraid of fungus than bacteria. Hands need to be really clean when bottles are filled, etc. Hugs, Joyce D.PULMONARY FIBROSIS/LUPUS 1997 BRONCHIECTASIS 2004 INDIANA 2 COR. 12:10 ....when I am weak, then I am strong.> >> > > > Yesterday the washer/dryer were delivered before Eddie got home. > Here I> > am trying to get Max on the leash and he is barking. Guest guest
Bruce, After the first crisis with the water bottle for the LOX I asked for several extras. I have them and rotate them . They don't bring tubing unless I ask for more and I buy my cannulas because theirs iritate my nose especially over night. It's a good company as far as serving the LOX and delivery schedule but the providing of accessories needs improvement. Guest guest
Funny, Apria here provides Salter Labs only. I got the Hudson Softech in the hospital when I had my VATS. A nurse found and put a few extra into my baggage to bring home. Much nicer, in my opinion, than Salter. > > > > > > > > > > > > Yesterday the washer/dryer were delivered before Eddie got home. > > > Here I > > > > am trying to get Max on the leash and he is barking.
