Guest guest
Hello dear group, It has been a while since I posted, I went on vacation the first two weeks of August. I come home to the news that Dr. Fuchs at Duke sees " no csf flow " at all on my latest CINE MRI. This was done on the Saturday before I left. He recommends surgery. This is nsg #3, and as far as opinions go. The first 2 saw the obstruction from the Chiari, but refused to do anything about it. Through this site, someone recommended Fuchs, and I'm am eternally grateful. He feels I would definitely feel some relief from my symptoms if I had the surgery. He is a very conservative surgeon, and that makes me feel better. I'm looking for opinions here. From those zipper heads who have been through this, you have an idea of what lies ahead for me. I'd like to know your thoughts. He is a Ped's guy, but has done several adults who suffer from this. He is apparently well versed in the procedures with adults. I would like to move forward, but the wait to get in touch with him and to actually get someone to call me back concerns me. I called 2 times yesterday, and no one returned my call. So, should I consider someone else for the 1) slow response time, and 2) peds. This venue has been my life saver. It helped me explain what will be happening to me to my children yesterday, and answer some questions for myself. I can't begin to thank everyone out there enough. Maureen in Fl, your posts the last few days have been a special blessing to me. They've encouraged me so. I hope your reading this, and know you've really helped someone out there. Blessings and love to all. Janet in NC
