Guest guest
And following consultation with my chest physician he's going to push me forward for the lung transplant. I asked him about my thrombotic tendencies, (I have anti cardio lipin/anti phospho lipids which causes my blood to clot) and he said that as it's already a 'known' about me and that it's already being negated with warfarin it shouldn't be an issue. He is no longer enthusiastic about putting me on retuximab as he feels it could cause me more problems than it helps, and as I'm reasonably stable on pred and imuran, he doesn't want to fix what isn't broken. Since he was pro retuximab before christmas, I assume he's done some more research. I had a full immunology screen before christmas and it hasn't come up with anything new. I'm back to see him in march, before which I will be dropping my steroids on the 1st feb and again on the 1st march. I don't know how long it'll take before I get to see the transplant team, and I know they're going to tell me to drop a couple of stone, but hopefully with the lower pred, I'll have a chance to do that. So I'm feeling quite positive right now. A little overawed at being a tiny step nearer a transplant, but quite positive. Love Ze xx
