Guest guest
Mama-Sher, see my other post to you...I'm o.k., really...All the physical things cannot touch my spirit. It is strong. And finding people like you to share my stories with, and to hopefully bring some solace or compassion to another, that is the biggest spirit booster of all. When I was very young with such illness I did question " why " . Heck, I was 17 and crippled, of course I asked " why " . I no longer question it, I just deal with it and know that my situation is a lot better than so very many other people in this world. I have a roof over my head, food to eat, a vehicle to drive (and for now the faculties to drive it), a loving and supportive family and friends, my 5 canine companions, and now, this on-line support family. I accept my blessings and hope I can pass them on to others. This will sound so strange, but I almost feel that the reason I was given so many illnesses was to be able to reach out to a wide range of people. Maybe what I've learned will aid someone else in their fight. I hope so. Super Big Hugs from Texas! Guest guest
Babs...I always find it interesting how people react to illness and/or a life-threatening illness. Some like you ,retain and grow in Spirit and some plunge into darkness. I call it 'blooming where you are planted'. I too try to be encouraging. I'm the one who gets the blessing and I love blessings from God. I checked out your pictures again and see you have a big family! Even this 'old lady' here thinks your Chaz is snazzy. lol .All your family are good lookers. I want you to know I admire your Spirit. There aren't too many here who deal w/what you do. I hope God blesses you big-time! Love, Mama-Sher, 69; IPF, 3-06, OR.Don't fret about tomorrow, God is already there! Guest guest
Than you Mama-Sher! I feel very blessed, and more so now that I have friends like YOU! Since I love to garden, your saying of " blooming where you are planted " is very meaningful to me. It says a lot actually, when you really stop to think about the meaning of it. The family pic shows only a portion of my siblings and family. I have 2 sisters and a brother in California, another brother in Arizona, another brother in Texas, and another sister in Missouri. They all have children, and grandchildren, so all-together we're quite a large family. My brother who died had 3 daughters, and one of them is now a Mom. So we just keep expanding and enlarging at an alarming rate! I can't keep up with all of them anymore! And, thank God, none of them have PF. I could tell right away that you are a large part of this board, and how admired you are, and I can see why. You are so kind, and cheerful, and filled with warmth. That you share it with so many is a blessing to all of us! Hugs, and hugs!
