Guest guest
Stevie, I doubt it. and if it upsets his tummy he definitely won't sleep. He is only two months old give him a chance to mature his digestive system. Wendi Re: Intro From: ST3PH3@... (Stevie) Thanks Wendi, I do feel really good about what I have accomplished. My pedi realy did sock me today, I was prepared to go in there & inform him. He did tell me if I wanted to sleep a little longer since I'm returning to work soon, to make a teaspoon or so of rice cereal with bmilk after he has eaten his last feeding. Give it to him by spoon & let him move it around in his mouth. Since he is so big, it could'nt hurt to give him that extra little something. Do you think that will help him sleep a little longer?? Do you think that will help him >sleep a little longer?? Stevie, It might hurt him. It takes longer to digest; he might skip a feeding or two in the morning (you call it sleep, your pedi will call it weight loss); your milk production will slow down -- just when you got ot going strong! Why mess with that? If you want to get extra sleep, work on an arrangement that lets sleep beside you part of the night, so that you can roll over, latch him on, and then drift back to sleep. If co-sleeping doesnt appeal to you, then wait a few more weeks/months -- he will be sleeping on his own in no time. Try to take a few naps when does. Soon, you will be up at all hours of the night listening for him to see when he comes home... at least today, you know where he is! Take advantage of his desires to spend so much time with you at night. It is so short!
Guest guest
, Well that's meant to say! hehe! Wendi Re: Intro At 02:36 AM 4/27/99 , you wrote: >Stevie, > >Because they are completely ignorant and think that it will help you. They think convenience is more important than optimal health. > >Wendi > FOTFLMAO! Dont mince words here! lol Actually, many doctors also have to cope with their own personal choices when they give you information. If you are going to a woman doctor who believe that her five fully formula fed children are as healthy as the breastfed babies next door, then you might have a hard time getting unbiased info from her about feeding *choices.* If you go to a male doctor who is unmarried, was raised on formula himself, and has a pin-up of Pamela Lee hanging in his private office, or at home, you might have a hard time getting unbiased information, too! Doctors are people, and their medical advice is usually intermingled with their personal choices. You are the consumer. Dont be afraid to tell them what you want, how you want it and when. Even if you think the doctor might tell you something you dont want to hear. Let him know that you think he is being biased if you think it helps, and seek another opinion. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ V-Tech Computer For Kids! Guest guest
, you & Wendi are both right. I thought that 2 months was kinda early. I wish I could sleep with him, but we have a softside waterbed. We are thinking about buying him a bed now b/c if hekeeps growing at this rate he will need it in a year. That way I could sleep with hm & get rest, but poor Chet would be all alone:0( I'm getting used to little sleep, but I'm also not working yet. Last night I had to get up & pump, I hurt myself when I rolled over. lol got up 2 hours later & was relieved again. His 1st stretch of sleep is good, it's just every 2-3 hours after that. Welcome formally to the group. It's truly the best one I've found. Congrats on your weight loss! I'm a 25 year old part time glorified secretary and part time student trying desperately to finish my Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Criminology. I'm recently married with 2 furry four legged kids (2 adorable dogs). Keep posting! Maggie Intro i everyone - my name is Crystal Fulcher and I have been lurking on this list for the last week. I joined online weight watchers two weeks ago today, but made that first Wednesday my first day. We do have meetings around here, but since I work full time and have a 15-month old and a husband, I don't have time for the meetings, especially since they are 45 minutes from home (1 minute from work, but I don't work until 7:00 at night). I have been married for 4 1/2 years to a wonderful man who is very supportive of me losing weight, he is even trying to make small changes in the way he eats. We have a son, named Logan that was born in December of 2000 and he is the joy of my life. I really want to lose weight and get in shape before we start trying to have another child, which will probably be sometime in summer of 2003, so that will give me over a year to lose weight. We live on the coast of NC in a small community called South River which is near Beaufort and Morehead City. So far I am loving the program. It takes a lot of work to do the points, but I am enjoying the challenge. It is also helping me to make better choices in my eating. I lost two pounds at when I weighed last week and my next weighing is tomorrow. That makes 6 total in the last 3 1/2 weeks but this was my first week of WW. The other 2.5 weeks I started exercising and eating a little less. I am afraid I may not lose much if any this week - I have overdone on a few days, but that is just making me more determined to try and do better. This group helps a bunch also. I love this group and can't wait to be more a part of it. Take care all, Crystal Fulcher in coastal NC 200/194/135 __________________________________________________
