Swim Lessons at the Dan Marino Center

Hello all,

I just wanted to mention a program we've been going to and it's really

working for my 3-yo son, dx ASD. He's just completed the first 2 weeks

of lessons and we decided to continue.

It's at the Dan Marino Center in Weston, the instructor is Dino

and she's a pleasure to meet and has been really good with my kid.

They have group classes for $80.00 (8 30-min sessions, 2 weeks) and

adaptive (private) classes for $200.00 (8 30-min sessions as well).

The classes teach safety for kids, how to float, how to reach for the

sides of pools, that sort of stuff.

Parents don't get in the pool with the kids in the private lessons so

that could be a challenge, but my son's doing really good now that

he's getting to know better. She has lots of activities for him

and fun things like " diving " to get pieces of a puzzle and coming back

and putting them in place, ABC puzzles and she's always having him

talk to her. I really recommend it!
