Guest guest
Hi, We did in home ABA w/Behavior Analysis. My son had just turned 2. I was very, very happy with them. We used a guest cottage that was not being used at our home and I installed a nanny cam so I could watch the sessions in my living room. Now I understand they offer something like this so you can watch on your computer during the sessions. We used them for just a short time before he was enrolled in a full time ABA based program but I was very happy with the staffing, the students (our workers were always students) were very enthusiastic and my son liked " playing " with them after he became adjusted to having demands made of him. The Certified Behavior Analyst who oversaw the program was always available for me via phone or email if I had questions and I met with her weekly to discuss his progress and changes to the program. The reason we did in home opposed to at their center was that b/c I was having my son do 20 hours a week and he was 24 months old. Their offices are in Sunrise in Broward (I belive, unless they have since moved) and the distance was pretty far for me to travel twice daily so I decided to do in home. I don't know if it is true at this time but 2 years ago they did charge more for an in home program. At the time I also felt like b/c he was so small and we were just finding out exactly what was going on with him (autism, global developmental delays) I'd rather have him at home with me although I now know that he would have probably been better off in a center setting b/c it would have been more challenging. But the therapy was wonderful I thought. The only reason we stopped utilizing after those few months was that I enrolled him in a center based full time ABA based program that addressed not only the behavioral but speech, OT, everything and I didn't need the additional hours w/Behavior Analysis anymore. Good luck!
