The Tanita Scale to measure body fat? Is it accurate?

Hi everyone...

Just a quick question to ask if anyone has had any experience with

the Tanita scale. I just bought it and couldn't wait to jump on and

see my body fat reading (perverse curiousity, I guess!). Anyway, I

was shocked to see that it registered 50% because I have been told by

BMI calculators and several doctors that, based on my height and

weight, it is 40%. I feel like I want this surgery more than ever

now!

Has anyone else had a reading where it seemed unusually high (or low?)
