Why don't you call her and ask. I've never heard of such a thing and she should be willing to explain it to you since you really wanted a culture done.

That's what I thought, but she said this was a very sensitive test that rules out even the most uncommon strains. She took a swab, I guess checked it under the microscope, and told me the cells looked totally fine. Could it be something new?
