Beth,

You explained this much better than I. This is exactly what the docs and rehab nurses told me.

I wonder why Ginger had that experience where they told her that her 02 was too high and she had carbon deoxide poisoning. Either she got a wrong diagnosis or she had in addition to restrictive disease some obstructive disease going on also.

I also wanted you to know that your advice about not raising my arms over my head in the shower is so appreciated. I sat on my chair, bent forward and washed my hair, rinsed with my hand held sprayer and my 02 was 80 when I got out. Usually it is in the 50's to 60's.

The nursing knowledge combined with good old common sense makes you a wonderful source of info.

Joyce,

Thank you, your majesty! Maybe I inherited what my grandmother called "good old fashioned horse sense".

I'm glad keeping your arms lower helps and slumping forward helps. It's weird isn't it, the little things that make it easier. I find it's such trial and error for me. I get so excited when something works.... sats in the 80's aren't great but they're a whole lot better than 50 or 60.

Our aim is to keep you going. It's a vast conspiracy here on the board. We love you and you have to stay with us!
