Off Topic - Willful 5 year old

You have all heard me say that my 5-year-old kindergartener is a bright and

willful child. Just thought you would like the latest update on Mr.

Independent. He has decided in his infinite wisdom that it is now 2003. We've

tried explaining why it is 2002 but he announced today that he is right. His

father is wrong. I am wrong. All of the new calendars in the house are wrong.

His logic? We bought the 2002 calendars " last year " (last month) and therefore

they are last year's calendars so this is now really 2003. I wish I could be a

fly on the wall today when he starts back to Kindergarten (don't even get me

started on that one) and they discuss the " new year. " God help his teacher.
