Guest guest
((((Leanne)))) thank you for letting the board know that I was in the hospital. ((((Bruce)))) thank you for posting that we had spoken and I was on my way home. ((((Peggy, Sher, Gwynne & May)))) Thank you All for the Well Wishes! I'm a bit tired and exhausted. I'm still debating if I should go to work tommorrow morning. I'll see how I'm feeling.... In the ambulance, I was given 2 treatments of Oxygen. Once arrived at the hospital, saw ER dr, X-Ray, blood tests my Potassium was 2.4, Hemoglobin had dropped, was given Prednisone etc...Respiratory Therapist came to see me and administer 2 treatments. Afterwards the ER dr came back to see how I was feeling, so I say a bit better than I was in the ambulance...he says let me check your lungs, I say OK! "He says to me you're still wheezing, how can you be feeling a bit better". So a 3rd treatment is administer and later I find out I'm admitted in hospital. The specialist came to see me in ER, we talked about what happenned and I was gasping for air. She takes a listens at my lungs and then she says lay back down on the stretcher. She goes to me, you don't look to good and I want to keep you overnight...... I was taken on the ward were they had me on 3 litres of oxygen for the whole night and on & off today. I hated having the tubing in my nose I had no choice, to keep it in there and don't think about it being there. It was either breathing easier or having difficulty breathing. I was cleared for Bloods Clots in the legs (Ultrasound) and Lung Clots (VQ Scan). It's going to be funny(it wasn't at that moment though....I tried avoiding going to ER, I knew deep down I had to go....at the same time I was very scared......Yes I did call 911, explained the situation and I can't breath and my face is sweaty. They asked me a bunch of questions and they determined Fire Dept and Ambulance need to get there right away! I told them No you cannot send one, I'm at work, what am I supposed to tell my supervisor, I just got back from my 2 days off. Can it wait until my shift is over....Finally, I told her please send them over because I was about to faint on her and I stayed on the phone until Fire Dept got there...they took over, a few minutes later Paramedics arrived.
