THANK YOU!! I recently bought a very ugly pair of tennis shoes just

because they were the only pair I could find that actually felt

good. They look like an ugly cleat style LOL but they are ok I guess

Haha.

Has anyone been to or heard of " The Good Feet Store " ? They have one

about 1 1/2hr from me but I've yet to get over there. Not sure if

that's a nation wide chain or what though. If so, any luck?

:)

Birkenstock has everything from sandals to full shoes and boots, as well as a walking shoe. They're expensive, but perfect for foot problems.

I went to Mall of America yesterday, determined to find decent-looking, comfortable shoes for work. My podiatrist had told me that Nordstroms, though expensive, was a good place to look because of the selection and the help from staff. I started there, looked everywhere else, and then returned to buy two pairs of Munroes, which came in double wide (didn't know there was such a thing) and were deep enough for full orthotics. Expensive, yes. Thought I'd pass that along in case anyone else is feeling as frustrated as I was.Sierra

I wore nothing but Birkies (shoes, not sandals) all last year; have

them on right now, in fact. While comfy, they make feet look so wide!

(Quack! Quack!) The Monroes I found (ankle high boot design) are

double wide but look quite sleek. This duck is transforming into a

swan...

I know they do, and that's the only thing I dislike about them. Maybe I'll check out the Monroes....

There is an outrageous new line of shoes with huge, thick springs (coils) underneath the heels.. They are sold at podiatrists for arthritis patients...

YES, they look rediculous at first!

But we are seeing more and more people wearing them.

They run about $125.

I tried them on and it felt so good to have a spring in my step!

Boooiiinnnnngggg!

But don't know if I can stand the stares, just yet.

I got some shoes from Footsmart but found Merrell's slip ons to be more

comfortable. They are surely not dressy but comfortable and okay with

pants. The top is a soft mesh and flexible and I am still looking around.

Glad to have all these good ideas, gang.
