Guest guest
Today was a good day. We bought a new car, the weather was warm and sunny, and Max made it through the day without coming to my class to complain about pain. BUT, and there is always a but, isn't there?, Dr. Levy, our loving (and I do mean loving) gastro-enterologist, does not buy the serum sickness diagnosis. That really is okay. I have emailed him and sincerely asked him if he has something else it could be. I would hate to think we have the right diagnosis, only to find out that Max has something else that was overlooked. I feel so blessed to have two great doctors who care so much and have worked so hard to help us. In the meantime, we will hold onto the serum sickness diagnosis and treat it as such. As so many of you have said, it helps to give it a name. Even Max seems relieved. He does not need to know that Dr. Levy disagrees. No matter what the name is, I just want Max to feel better and not have pain. Thanks, everyone, for your messages. You are all such good friends. Who ever thought that there could be such a wonderful group of people who have never even met each other, yet still care so much about each other? I cannot wait for Mark's gathering so I can meet some of you. It's only two weeks away!!! Jodi
Guest guest
I could not agree more. Would you believe that I am getting a full-blown cold? That always leads to asthma trouble for me - and no voice for a week. Then there is a terrible stomach virus going around at school that is knocking people out right and left. God just could not be cruel enough to give me a stomach virus again. It just can't happen. Then again, I have more anti-nausea medicine in my cabinet than I could ever know what to do with. I will not hesitate to use it if I even THINK I need it. As for Max, he is going in a bubble.... Guest guest
Jodi, I know it may start getting a little confusing with different doctors saying different things, but take them both for what they're worth. Like you stated, it's great having 2 drs. who care so much. You're definately headed in the right direction. I can't wait for Mark's gathering either. Let's hope we can all stay healthy enough to make it (including Mark). Cheryl Mom to , , and - 25 mos.
