Guest guest
Hey Please excuse my spelling and grammar. I truly am dyslexic. I just read my own message. Just laugh with me.. Sara To current Ponseti Penthouse Residents (Clarion, RMD, etc.) re: increased Ponseti traffic Isn't it wonderful to be a part of the fruition of one man's 50+ year life's work! It was great for a few of us back in the fall to meet Mrs. Ponseti--a true treasure. She shared with us how she has been his greatest advocate in convincing him to come out of retirement " for the sake of the children " . She used to be a professor of English/Journalism and was the driving force behind his book. (She also has published her own book(s?) in literature which is advertised on the internet). She humbly shared her gratitude to all parents who have helped her husband in what he has tried to share for many years. She also shared her tender concern for his health since the internet has brought him many world-wide patients, for which I think Babhul wins the prize. The increased traffic and phone-calls have kept the Ponsetis traveling more than they probably would like, but they still continue to do so because of their deep love for children. He made a funny comment once to that those parents from the internet always have LOTS of questions. Yet, he never makes us feel that he doesn't have time to answer them, going on beyond the call of duty to make sure we and our children are comfortable. I stand back in awe of what this wonderful man and his wife have accomplished. I think we all feel very fortunate to have our children join the 2,000+ recipients that call themselves Ponseti's Kids. I can't help but think that the momentum of this past year is due to many driving forces with a common goal to give this kind man and gracious wife what they have deserved to see for 5 decades--the peace of mind that their knowledge could help reduce many unnecessary surgeries resulting in pain-free, happy lives for children world-wide.
