Guest guest
Lori, Allyson and I were just waiting for you to read Lauri's story and go WOOO HOOO. We were watching our computers e-mail screen wondering if you would be getting on the computer at 12 to 2 am as usual when all of a sudden 4 of your e-mails popped into our in-box. We knew that you would be one of the more expressive people about Lauri's story. We agree. YIPEEEEEE !!!!!!! Lauri, I am glad that things are working out so well for Henry and that you have had the opportunity to be a part of an interesting day at the U of Iowa (Ponseti's Penthouse) . I took a look at the NYU web site today and noticed that they have 10 pediatric orthopedists in their system of hospitals around NY City. We have looked previously at the POSNA (Pediatric Orthopedic Society of North America) web site and noticed that there are only about 45 pediatric orthopedists in New York State. (although there are also about 10 each in NJ and Connecticut. California seems to have the most at about 60+.) I hope that you have seen and been a part of the start of a change in NYU's approach to manipulation and casting. If those two lead doctors can help to change the others at NYU, that is about 20% of the pediatric orthopedists in New York State and would be a major change that could lead to many more doctors taking a more serious look at Dr. Ponseti's method. It appears that the orthopedic hospital for NYU is called the Hospital for Joint Diseases and that they are affiliated with about 5-8 other hospitals with different specialties including Mt. Sinai Medical Center. Hopefully we are at the beginning of some major changes in the way manipulation and casting is done for more and more children. Anyway great news and congratulations. and Allyson PS. We talked to some new parents from Rhode Island yesterday. They said that they would be traveling to Iowa on Wednesday and staying at the RMH so all of you who are there, please watch out for them. Their son is only about a week old. Guest guest
Oh boy, now I've got performance anxiety? I'm so psyched right now, I don't think it will be an early night. I was filling (DH) in about everything that was going on, and he got me even MORE pumped up about stuff. Unfortunately, that probably means it will be another late, late night for me. It takes me a long time to come down from these highs. (Hey, " 12 to 2 am as usual.. " .look who's talkin'! LOL) That's great news about the family from RI!! And I second your emotion about the doctor from NYU, hence my excitement! (This message has been edited for 'excitable' language ) (You did not see the actual words that were used to ) (describe Mrs. Stime's emotion at all of this good news ) (There is not enough memory in her computer to contain it) Lori > Lori and Lauri > > > > > Lori, > > Allyson and I were just waiting for you to read Lauri's story and go > WOOO HOOO.
