I am up to 6 a week and am still taking 12.5 mg of Prednisone everyday and 1000 mg of Naproxen Sodium a day. I haven't been able to tell if the MTX is working at all, as the Prednisone is doing it's thing. It's when I drop down to 10 mg of the Pred that I start having problems. Guest guest
, You sound like a prime candidate for a painkiller. Ask your doctor about it for his advice. A lot of people won't consider something like that because they have this weird idea that they'll turn into drug addicts. It doesn't work that way. Is a cancer patient taking morphine a drug addict? Neither will you be. The whole reason painkillers were invented and marketed is for people with legitimate pain, and chronic pain can be so debilitating it makes your life miserable. It's the people who get a temporary prescription for back surgery and six months later they've been to sixteen doctors and ten pharmacies trying to get more pills, who are the abusers.
