Guest guest
If you're on 3 for sitting, then 4 in shower for that brief time wouldn't be at all a surprise that you needed. However, I will say here that, in my humble opinion, no one should be on a constant level 24/7. Thats an office prescription and not based on anything real. You certainly don't need the same sitting on the sofa you need out shopping or cleaning the house. I so strongly recommend an oximeter. Also you can have a 24 hour oximeter study done and do all your normal activities and have the changes tracked. My personal needs to from 0 to 4. I was initially told 2 liters 24/7. At two liters moving fast my oxygen would be in the low 80's. At 2 liters on the treadmill, well, I'd never try that to find out where it would go after 30 minutes at 2 or 2.5 mph. Of course, at 2 liters I'd never be able to do that. > > I just want to thank every one of you who have made very wonderful > suggestions about the cannula in the shower. Guest guest
Well, often insurance won't cover them either. At least insist on a 24 hour reading. And, if you can afford an oximeter, I'd say buy one. They start around $150 for pretty decent ones and $250 for great ones. I know many pulmonologists oppose them. But they aren't able to check you under all conditions. My guess is 3 is what kept you maintained during a six minute walk. Well, what if you aren't walking or if you walk faster. Well, I'm off for a while. Been sitting a bit on 1 liter and turning up to 3 to head out the door. I'll check while out to make sure thats getting the job done. > > > > > > I just want to thank every one of you who have made very > wonderful > > > suggestions about the cannula in the shower.
