Guest guest
Sher, Sorry it has taken me a couple of days to get back to the group. Friday was my " big " day at the lung doc's. Had ecco, ct, pfts, met with Dr. Raghu. Draining. So I have spent the weekend napping and watching football with my husband. You are right Tacoma isn't far away and we have very good friends that live in Woodburn. We meet with them and go RV camping. Maybe when the weather gets better we CAN meet. works and I don't drive too far, we call it the magic circle. I will sum up my Dr.'s comments to three words, " deteriorating but stable " . My dx has been changed to include hypersensitivity pneumonitis (hp) again to the NSIP, type II. It started as HP almost 12 years ago. Even though I don't post too often, Sher, I have been reading since last March and I feel pretty confident with your statement about being " more assertive " . lol I know tired, sometimes I feel just too tired to breathe, but I keep on doing it! Kathie WA NSIP '96, PH --- Kathie... I'm going to be more assertive (if it's possible, lol)when I go to OHSU in Feb. I'm just not feeling good and sooooo tired. I get out of bed and sit here for 2-3 hrs, leave and come back again. I tell myself it's better than going back to bed. My O2 provider - Lincare - offers a complimentary 24 hr oximeter and I'll work that baby this time! Gee, Tacoma isn't that far away! Maybe we can arrange to get together some day when the weather is nicer. Half-way or something. I don't mind the drive. My daughter, Lysa, lives in Aloha, and we are in Canby. East of ville. There aren't many of us in this great Pacific Northwest. Armede (doesn't post much anymore) lives in Seattle and Joy does too. Maybe we can get something going......?? I met R when she was in Salem visiting her daughter. It was such fun to actually meet her. She's a little tiny gal and when we had our picture taken I looked and felt like Bunyan's mother!! The picture is on the web...look in her album. What you said to Leanne echoes my thoughts too! Thanks for writing so thoughtfully. Take care. Glad to meetcha. Mama-Sher, 69; IPF, 3-06, OR. Don't fret about tomorrow, God is already there! Re: Sher, During my years with this disease I have been on and off O2 several times. And once or twice when I felt I needed to back on my sats wouldn't drop " low enough " to satisfy insurance guidelines (in other words I was still conscious lol). My PCP was great, she told me if they weren't low enough from walking in the halls we would take a few stairs or even head out to the parking lot! She is wonderful. Like many here the 6 minute walk is fine as a measure but in real life when we " walk " , we're carrying our O2, or groceries or pushing a vacuum or whatever. Not strolling down a long hall with a tech or therapist carrying our air. Kathie NSIP '96, PAH WA.
