Guest guest
: Please call your RA doctor right away. You should be put on DMARDs to help stop the progression of the disease. If your doctor doesn't suggest them (methotrexate, or a biologic like Enbrel, Humira or Remicade) you should ask him/her about them. You should push for very aggressive drug therapy to give yourself relief. We have all been there feeling that kind of pain. I used to feel bad about calling my doctor every time I couldn't function. But thankfully she was very understanding and always willing to help adjust meds to give me more relief. I hate thinking of you suffering so much! Get some help asap. gloria
Guest guest
and, , I would like to add that you need to inform your doctor of your situation - you know, the old "squeaky wheel" - the doctor cannot help you if he/she does not know you are hurting so very badly! gentle hugs, Marcia shelly smiegal <shelsmieg2000@...> wrote: Dear , I wish that I could say something encouraging, but I can't think of anything more that may help. I've heard some of the people on this group talk about putting that hot wax on their joints. You could also ask your doctor if you could get an injection of cortisone and pain killer(name escapes me right now). Write to any of us whenever you want and we'll try to help you through this. You're not alone!! Never think that! We care and share in the pain too. Try to focus on something else while the pain is so severe. Oh, I know it can be tough, but try something positive. Write when you can! Will keep you in my prayers! ~~sjtoulouse <sjtoulouse@...> wrote: Hi again,Thank you for your welcome to the group and all the information you have given me.My ankle is getting bigger and bigger and sorer and sorer everyday. Guest guest
That happened to me when I was on a trip to Norway - my doctor said it was a massive flare up and he immediately put me onto more aggressive meds. Since then the ankles have remained a sore point and my docotr finally convinced me to take some strong pain killers - I was very reticent to but being in pain was not making things easier. Definately get in to see the doctor! ----- Original Message ----- From: sjtoulouse Rheumatoid Arthritis Sent: Friday, September 10, 2004 8:20 AM Subject: balloon ankle Hi again,Thank you for your welcome to the group and all the information you have given me.My ankle is getting bigger and bigger and sorer and sorer everyday.
