Guest guest
Sorry, I was running out the door and thus didn't introduce myself, but it seems I have a little more time at home so I can take the time to properly introduce myself and my questions about the legality of Kombucha and acorns. I have undiagnosed gut problems. My sister has Ulcerative Colitis and has been on SCD for about a year and a half now. I experienced bleeding last November after a night of eating way more carbs than I usually do. In retrospect, there were signs for several months previous (skin issues, fatigue and nausea after intense yoga classes, and a deep intuition that something wasn't quite right). For now, for financial reasons, I've decided to just undertake the SCD Diet and not go for the doctor, gi, colonoscopy, etc and see first where SCD put me. I've been on the diet since mid November 2007. So it's been almost three months. I too started too fast and have restarted recently, eating one ingredient at time, having small meals and being religious about my food journal which I wasn't doing a very good job keeping before. I lead a very active lifestyle. I work a lot and I don't own a car. I get around Los Angeles by bike and live up a mile long hill so I've struggled the most with energy and brain fog and dehydration. If I'm careful and conservative about food choices and eat plenty of yogurt and get 8 hours of sleep a night, I seem to do okay. I look forward to thoughts on the Kombucha and acorns. Thanks, V
