Hooray, I'm home from hospital and feeling fantastic. It was a long three

weeks. thanks for all your kind messages - really cheered me up last weekend.

Second op went well, got nearly all of the stone out - except a few bits and

pieces which we will deal with separately.

Unfortunately I had to have a stent inserted (under local - ouch) and the

midazolam didn't work so I knew all about it. A stent is a narrow tube that goes

from kidney, through the ureter to the bladder and is there to reverse a

narrowing in my ureter and to stop the larger stones from obstructing again.

But all that happened this morning and two hours alter I walked out of the

hospital with a skip in my step. I will have to have it removed again under

local (don't ask how - don't want to think about it)

Next step lithotripsy - not my favourite hobby - but there you go. But apart

from that normal service has now resumed.

And I am no longer nomail - so can anyone fill me in on what you have been

talking about for the last three weeks? anything exciting - births, pregnancies

etc.
