Guest guest
Hello, I just found this list today, and am trying to decide if I should wait until I have a second child to have RNY, OR have RNY, wait a year and have another child. PLEASE feel free to email me with your opinions, advice, concerns etc. Other questions that have arisen as I read your posts: (these are all referring to post op women) 1. Are there any studies or surveys that show the rate of miscarriages, low birth rate, or birth defects in post-surgery pregnancies? 2. Are there any of you post-op who had terrible morning sickness during pregnancy, and can constant vomiting do damage to your " new " stomache? 3. If the risk of miscarriage is greater due to insufficient nutrition, is it possible to take extra prenatal vitamins, or drink a supplement like Ensure or Boost to avoid it? 4. Have any of you experienced, or heard of, hernias or other damage done to the surgically altered stomach by pushing during labor? 5. Is it possible to nurse a baby without him/her getting malnourished from poor maternal nutrition? Thanks for your patience and any comments you may have. le C. Considering RNY 296 lbs, Age 28 1 DD Sadie Fairweather, Age 22mos.
