Guest guest
, You won't believe this, but we used to live in little "village" called Stockton, which is right outside town in Hazleton. Moved about 5-6 years ago. I am trying to find a little lap dog, either pup or older one that I can adopt. Sorry your hubby has RA. It sure can be tough. Does he work? My husband and I used to go to Hometown auctions quite a bit when we lived down there. Have you been there? Guest guest
Hi --- Yes my husband works..thank the lord! He is a company courier but his plant is slowly closing down. I am not sure what will happen then cuz he really has a 'cake job' for his condition. The hometown auction is a hopping place on a wednesday. We got our lab mix at Hillside SPCA. They have a website hillside.org maybe..not sure. It cost 35$ to adopt . He is a lab mix but a small one. There is alot of dogs there.....over 100. They are a no kill shelter. You may have seen a recent plea on WNEP or WBRE for people to come adopt so they dont have to euthanize. They really use that as a very very last resort. Most volunteers usually end up adopting then. Its sad that people woudl dump there pets like that. Ill tell ya what-- is so darn lovable--always looking for lovin'. Its almost as if he cant thank us enough for giving him a happy home and a full belly with lotsa love. I also am owned by a Saint Bernanrd...he is MY boy His name is Bruno. He was not a shelter dog tho. But we have had 2 dogs now from the shelter and couldnt ask for better pets. Whew--long winded here. You would think I had stock in the shelter....lol Right now my dh hands are a mess. Hurting all the time. Nodules growing on his wrists....carpal tunnel they dont wanna operate on.....oh you name it he is having a ruff time at the present. He takes Enbrel injections, metho, and a bunch of other meds to control his RA, OA. He almost feels as if he Enbrel is not working like it used to. Have you heard of that a, ...anyone? You take care....We will chat soon. Guest guest
, Your surely sound like a dog lover and my kind of person! I love animals, too. I have 2 collies and 6 cats. I grew up with mixed breeds and finally got some purebreed collies both from same litter. They are sisters. Hope can find a lap dog. Your SPCA sounds like a good one. Sorry about your hubby's hands. I had surgery scheduled and the doc had a death in the family and went out of time just when I was gonna have surgery. I was also on Enbrel a while but got tired of sinus infections and got off it. Guest guest
, Your family of pets sounds like fun! I sure hope that one of these days I can get a ride from someone to the SPCA. I would really like a small dog. I take Enbrel injections, MTX injections, etc., with the doctor recently taking me off the Plaquenil, which figures, seeing I just got a 3 month supply through expressscripts! Glad to be off of it though. Also glad your husband is working and pray that his job will continue or else that he can find another job that's not too strenuous on him. When you say your dh hands, what do you mean? Sorry, I'm blonde, does it show? lol~Marcia Stoyle <marciastoyle@...> wrote: hey, ! my hubby is a courier, too! - we both work for the city school district - 55 buildings all over town - keeps my hubby running in circles! about the enbrel - I have been off and on (surgery) for 18 months - I feel enbrel has given me back my hands and wrists, but doesn't do a thing for the knees - oh, well - gentle hugs, Marcia <waljs@...> wrote: Hi --- Yes my husband works..thank the lord!
