Guest guest
Don Like everyone else I do not know of a neutritional magic bullet to stop prostate cancer in its tracks. But I believe that we should not have tunnel vision. The human body is a very complex organism. We, in the final analysis are concerned about survival. There is much known about how a proper life style is important in helping us survive many other maladies like heart disease, diabetes, etc. It is often said that many people die with prostate cancer rather than from it. Eat a proper diet lose weight, exercise and generally get yourself in the best shape possible this may not stop the cancer but it may help you to survive the onslaught of this terrible disease. If you die of a heart attack, you are still dead. That is my feeling. We do know and much is written about the dangers of obesity, improper diet etc. so it makes sense to me to help your body to fight off any invader if ;you get yourself in the best condition you can. Good luck to you. Harry Subject: RE: FOOD: GOOD FOOD FOR PROSTATE CANCER STAGE 4; FOOD TO AVOIDTo: ProstateCancerSupport Date: Sunday, March 7, 2010, 5:01 PM First turn off your caps lock key. All capital letters means you are yelling at us. I don’t think that there is a non-commercial page that explains the foods that you should be eating for your condition. If there was I would certainly be suspect. There has been a lot of dietary recommendations in this group with some pretty profound claims from people who are not always completely forth coming in their information. I consider those messages suspect too. I know the cancer center that I will be going to for my post surgical radiation treatments has a nutritionist on staff that we are encouraged to meet with. In my opinion this is a better option since not everyone’s treatment is the same and their needs may be different. Interaction with a nutritionist who can look at your particular situation is a much better safer option than the global generalizations that fly around on the internet. Maybe you should discuss this with your doctors. At stage 4 I wouldn’t want to be wasting a lot of time trying to filter out the cyber junk. Guest guest
Anti-Cancer A new way of life I bought this book and can recommend it. There are also some you-tube videos about the book and Dr. Servan-Schreiber. Also MD Cancer Center had the audio of a presentation he gave there on there web site. > > Don, > > This a book reccomended to me by a psychistrist at MD and done by a MD/PhD.
