Guest guest
Kim, Its almost 1am and I was about to go to bed when I thought I'd check my email, which I wasn't going to do. Several things... 1) Sounds like you should be on the higher dose of prednisone longer, just cause the ACE is lower is no reason to start taking you off it, especially since you've only been on it for what, one month? 2) Never start more then one new drug at a time, as you could be allergic to one of them which would give you the symptoms you described. 3) New medications like amitriptyline for example, takes several weeks to build up to a good working dose in your blood stream, they might also have started you at a dose too high for your body to cope with. 4) When all else fails, go back on what you were taking before hospital, ween yourself off the drugs they do not want you on, (keep on the *p*) and then slowly start ONE new drug at a time to see what you can tolerate. Start at low doses incase they make you sick. 5) With the prednisone, it can make you truly psycho. I mean psycho - anxiety the works. I was a raving lunatic, hallucinations etc. So even if you cut down one mg a week, it might be better for your body then 20mg. That's a big drop. I've never heard of that big a drop especially since you are not doing well now. 6) Contact the hospital, Contact the Dr's you saw in the Hospital and tell them whats going on. Its your life - its worth it. 7) The facial pain - the website details are here, but you will need to see the Dr's in the hospital for the medications. I'll write more tomorrow, but I know this is important as you are desperately sick so I'm doing it now for you. Love you baby, we are all fighting for you hon. Anything I have forgotten you can find at http://www.elderwyn.com/aisha or http://www.elderwyn.com/neurosarcoidosis This is the page you want..... The Facial Neuralgia Page.
