Guest guest
Hello! My husband had laparoscopic surgery for prostate cancer, 11 days ago. Up until 2 days ago, he was feeling awesome - energetic, walking on the treadmill, in no pain and just waiting for the catheter to be removed this Thursday (28th). A couple of days ago, he started feeling nauseated all the time. Excuse my bluntness, but he felt he had to pee, poop and throw up all at the same time. Tonight he had a tiny tinge of blood coming down the tube of his catheter. His temperature is fine. We called the Urology Ward where he stayed and a nurse talked to the both of us and thought maybe it was the flu as they had an outbreak in the ward beside his. Maybe it's the flu, but did anyone else experience this? He was doing so well. I even thought it was the antibiotics making his stomach sick but he finished them two days ago. Yesterday, he was lethargic and didn't want to use the treadmill - which is rare for him. I guess I'm just scared. Any thoughts or experiences like this? Thanks for listening, Sue
