far out postop. I had my surgery in Aug 2000 and got preg in June

sure to congratulate or console, but things will work out for you.

But right now I am just a bundle of nerves b/c my doctor

I am VERY VERY VERY HAPPY. Just nervous b/c I don't know what to expect most of

you seem to have had a baby pre-op, but I've never even thought I was pregnant

b4 now. The pregnancy tests I took b4 were b/c the men I was with would freak

out b/c my period hadn't come on for months, but that was the norm for me. My

periods at one point were only coming on twice a year at the most. I always

felt like such a failure as a woman b/c I was never pregnant by the men I was

with and as soon as they left me or cheated on me the women they were with were

pregnant with their children. The fact that I didn't have children by these

creeps I view as a definite blessing.

get what is left over.

introduction

Hi all!

My name is DeVore and I am 9 weeks pg with my first. I had

RNY 3/01, and have quit losing at 100 pds down.

I've been reading all the posts for about a month now, and have

learned sooo much - thanks! I had PCOS before surgery, and went

through MUCH fertility treatment, so am so excited to be expecting.

I was sure until my first doctor visit that it was a joke and there

wasn't really anything in there. Now I'm just petrified that it

won't STAY in there. I have really had no problems so far, just a

little cramping and sick feeling. I am eating quite a bit more, but

haven't gained yet.

My question of the moment is why not hot baths? I thought it was

just the bacteria is spas that were the reason not to do hot tubs.

Anyway, glad to meet you all and thanks for the group, it's helped me

so much already.

The reason you aren't supposed to do hot tubs or hot baths is because it

raises the body temperature and this is linked to some birth defects in the

baby.

Thanks

introduction

Hello everyone,I just wanted to introduce myself again..I've been coming and going so thought I'd jump back in and say hello! My name is Kelli, I'm 39, married with 2 great kids. I work fulltime as a manager of a travel agency, my job keeps me VERY busy, as do my kids, so I don't get to post much, but I do read every post I can. I find it so motivating and it really helps me to stay focused.Recently I have been wavering between weight loss programs. Low Carb, Somersizing and Weight Watchers. I haven't ever given any of the programs a true test by staying with them long enough to know if they really work or not! I have been so bad. I have about a 100 lbs to lose and I really need to get serious about losing it once and for all! What I've decided is that I'm going to combine the best of both Low Carb and Weight Watchers, which means I'll just incorporate more lean proteins into my diet with whole grains and fruits and veggies, no white flour or sugar. Sounds good on paper, now if I can just DO IT!Thanks for letting me be part of your group. I look forward to getting to know you all.Kelli

I have a 14 year old black lab and last year we adopted a one year old beagle. Two weeks after we adopted her she got very fat and we took her to the vet and she had a litter of 5 black lab beagle pups. We found good homes for 3 of them and kept 2 of the pups. That is how we came to have 4 dogs. I would have loved to have kept all the pups but dh says not until we move to a farm so I guess that will never happen. One year from when we had the pups we were able to adopt a baby boy of the human kind, I always say that god saw the puppies were ok after 1 year so he finally decided to trust us with a child. The dogs are definitely still my babies as well.
