Guest guest
Bruce... thanks a bunch. I will get one soon. How does it work? BTW...I've had no feedback from you re: this Docs. notes. What say you about the "burnt-out IlD"? If he thinks I don't have IPF why does he keep having me come back for pfts and c-scans I wonder................ Guest guest
Peggy, No prongs??? I've never seen cannula without nasal prongs. I usually use Salton 1600's. Remember was making fun of me, said I had them in my nose upside down?? Wacky girl... The one's I like best though are the Chad cannula but they're harder to get. Guest guest
Sher, I don't know exactly how long they've been out. I've been using them for 4 or 5 years for various things. The kids use them alot for school, high school and college. My MedicAlert bracelet just has my DX, "Pulmonary Fibrosis" and "On Medication", Then it has the id number they assigned to me and their toll free number. All a paramedic or ER doc would have to do is call give them the number on my bracelet and, they'd have access to my basic info, dx, meds, doctors, next of kin, healthcare proxy etc. They'd also be told that my complete info is on a memory stick on my keyring. This might sound like overkill to some but if I'm away from home by myself I want to know that I'm as safe as I can make myself. I think we've all heard ER horror stories and I want to prevent my own if I can! Beth in NC age 48 Fibrotic NSIP 06/06 "For as long as I shall live, I will testify to Love." Guest guest
thanks Bruce for the website, I've saved in my favorites. Not that I really wanted to save it lol! lol! lol! ---- Original Message ---- To: Breathe-Support Sent: Tue, 22 Jan 2008 6:14 pm Subject: Re: PFTs Memory Stick Actually the Oxyarm by Southpedic is called a cannula and has no prongs and the Westmed mask is made for those who can't tolerate cannulas. It isn't like a large mask, but rather small. Weird feeling. Both are shown here: http://www.tri-medinc.com/TM/cannula_masks_index.html#AOCM > > Peggy, > > No prongs???
