I have compiled the following DS-related lists. Any that I missed?

DS-Related eGroups Lists:

1.) /group/duodenalswitch

This list is specifically for people who have had the Distal Gastric Bypass

with a Duodenal Switch or the Biliopancreatic Diversion with Duodenal

Switch. The Duodenal Switch surgery is unique and is being done by a limited

number of surgeons throughout the world. I have found that our experiences

after surgery with food, weight loss, medical problems, etc is quite

different from people who've had other types of WLS. I created this list so

we can address our issues specifically. If you are interested in having this

surgery, you are also welcome to join!

2.) /group/DS_PostOp

This group's purpose is to provide information and support for

post-operative BPD/DS patients. Our primary focus will be post-op health

issues. Pre-ops and those researching surgery are also welcome to join, but

please refrain from posting. For more general discussion of the surgery,

including pre-op issues such as insurance, also join the Duodenalswitch

group.

3.) /group/DS_Exercise

This list is for patients who have undergone (or who will undergo) the

duodenal switch (BPD/DS, DGB/DS, LG/DS, etc.) obesity surgery procedure.

This list will be a place for us to check in with each other and report our

progress, and to motivate each other to keep up with our exercise to

maximize our weight loss.

4.) /group/DS-Christian

A place for Christians to discuss the Duodenal Switch procedure. We have

chosen weight loss surgery as a tool to help us overcome obesity. This

support group is for all those that have had the DS surgery and for anyone

wanting more info on the DS procedure. Other topics on our list will

include: Prayer Requests (not just wls related), Weight Loss Surgery

Resources, Surgeon Info, Insurance Issues, Post & Pre-Op Questions,

Exercise, Our Families and other issues as the group deems relevant. God

to meet people in our area for chat and get togethers but most important,

support!

The primary goal of this list is to be a place for those who have had

obesity surgery (RNY Gastric Bypass, Duodenal Switch) at OHSU to converse

with each other. Everyone is welcome. This list also serves as a place to

share the time, topic and reminder of the OHSU Bariatric Surgery Support

Group, which meets monthly at OHSU.

This list is specifically for those of us who have had the duodenal switch

surgery with Dr. P. Maguire in Kettering, Ohio. An unmoderated forum

to discuss issues specifically related to Dr. Maguire patients. Pre-ops are

also welcome to join and participate to find out all about our wonderful

surgeon.

with Dr.Dennis in Marrietta, Georiga. We have chosen weight loss

surgery as a tool to help us overcome obesity. This support group is for all

those that have had the DS surgery and for anyone wanting more info on the

DS procedure. This is an unmoderated forum to discuss issues specifically

related to Dr. Dennis 's patients. Pre-ops are also welcome to join and

participate to find out all about our wonderful surgeon.
