Elecon is a cortisone cream - a fairly potent one, at that. There is an

almost endless list of different prescription cortisone creams. If you look

at the package insert, they'll generally say " corticosteroid " . That's the

official terminology. Although the derms claim Elecon is mild, it's really

quite strong. It took me six months to wean myself off of it, and I was only

using the teensiest dot on each cheek, and another teensy dot on my forehead.

You should be okay to use it sparingly on your arms if you really need

it. You should be very careful, though about washing your hands thoroughly

after applying it to your arms, so that you don't accidentally get any on

your face.
