Thanks, >> , Elecon is a cortisone cream - a fairly potent one, at that. There is an almost endless list of different prescription cortisone creams. If you look at the package insert, they'll generally say " corticosteroid " . That's the official terminology. Although the derms claim Elecon is mild, it's really quite strong. It took me six months to wean myself off of it, and I was only using the teensiest dot on each cheek, and another teensy dot on my forehead. You should be okay to use it sparingly on your arms if you really need it. You should be very careful, though about washing your hands thoroughly after applying it to your arms, so that you don't accidentally get any on your face.
