We Need Your Help NOW to Increase Prostate Cancer Research Funding

Take Action NOW to Increase Research Funding

http://tinyurl.com/yjz3zxz

WRITE YOUR U.S. REPRESENTATIVE TODAY!

Representatives Jim Marshall (GA) and King (NY) are currently circulating

a letter to colleagues in Washington asking for their support for increased

funding for the Prostate Cancer Research Program - part of the Congressionally

Directed Medical Research Program at the Department of Defense.

The program's funding has been stagnant at around $80 million for 9 years.

Because of the extended leveling of the program, grants to continue research

into clinical trials has slowed to a halt and unless Congress acts to increase

funding for the PCRP, important research will be forced to remain in the lab

instead of moving forward to potentially help patients fight their prostate

cancer.

Please write your Representative today and ask that he/she agree to sign the

Marshall-King Dear Colleague. The deadline to sign the letter is March 5, 2010.

Another alert for the Senate will follow in the next couple of weeks.

Please forward this email to your friends, family and co-workers. Time is of

the essence and these letters are the difference between support for prostate

cancer research and potential cuts.
