I hope all of you feel better than me. Where did everyone go?

Hopefully, good things are happening.

Think positively...when you're lying on your back in a ditch, things

can only go up from there.

Hugs,

Nita

Sorry to hear you feel like Road Kill!

I have been taking a high dose (500 mg twice a day) of Naproxen Sodium for the last few months and my back has been itching and driving me nuts.

Last night I started breaking out in the hives and had to take a Benadryl.

I am assuming that the hives are from the Naproxen, as I am allergic to just about

every other pain killer (except the hardcore ones) and just about every antibiotic,

so I can probably add Naproxen to the list too.

I have taken myself off of the Naproxen - for now, and I can feel the difference already. : (

You all may think this is a dumb idea but I have been entering

contests as a hobby off and on since I found out I had RA. It takes

very little energy expenditure and no money unless you do mail in

contests.

The plus is that it helps with the optimism and with a lack of

disposable income. You may not get what you would buy but I always

say " Something coming in is more fun than nothing " .

I hope you feel better tomorrow Nita.

I have not worn a dress in 8 years I would say. Gave up on panty

hose so long ago. It hurts my thumbs to put them on.

I find it's not so much the rain as the barometric pressure changes

that come before and after the storms. We've had a couple of big

storms come through in the past few days, and my hands and feet have

felt worse then they have in months.

Oh well, it will pass some time!

Thanks Annette. I do feel better today. The contests are a neat

idea. I've been trying to do surveys online, but only ones that pay

something or entitle you to a drawing. I heard you shouldn't pay

them for the opportunity to do their surveys.

About wearing a dress...I hate to wear dresses. I try to go to

church regularly...my desire, but I have found I need a church that

doesn't mind women wearing pants because there are days when if I

have to put on a dress and panty hose, I'm not gonna get there. So

let's just say my wardrobe needs have changed. :0)

Have a great day!

I haven't worn a dress in so long that the elastic at the waist of

all of my slips has dried out and cracked. So not only does it have

to be long enough to not need pantyhose, it has to have

enough 'body' to it to not need a slip! I'm so lucky that I can

wear just about anything I want to work.

Kay I have dresses so short I would now only wear them as shirts and

I have the same trouble as you Beth with the slips - but my mother in

law had a great silk one that predates elastic so in theory I could

wear a skirt but I don't want to enough. This RA saps so much energy

some days just co-ordinating a shirt and pants is enough work..

Also my sister in law knitted me some socks that go above the knee so

in winter I can wear long skirts but never a glamourous one.

I think whoever invented " control top " panty hose was evil :-)
