Guest guest
Hi Daelynn, Both of my kids use Zyrtech as their antihistamine (I use it too, and have found it more effective than Claratin or Allegra!). Kailin (7, no cf) takes 1 tsp. of Zyrtech at bedtime. Meagan (5) takes 1/2 tsp. of Zyrtech at bedtime. (M's 44 pounds, and Kailin's a/b 56 pounds). The Zyrtech helps, but of course they still have " breakthrough " allergy symptoms, and need to use nasal inhalers (vancenase) and allergy eyedrops (during hay fever season). No side effects for us with Zyrtech, but it should be taken at bedtime because of potential drowsiness. , mom of Meagan 5 (cf, asthma) & Kailin 7 (asthma)
