Guest guest
Bruce, Yes, I was referring to the chest pain you said you had due to the pneumonia. Hugs, Gwynne
Guest guest
Gwynne Ok...chest pain update: Dec 31, called doctor and was referred to ER with fear of blood clots. Was given blood work including D-Dimer, Chest X-Ray and VQ Scan. I can't have a CT with Contrast. Conclusion was Pneumonia and was given Levaquin there and a prescription. Due to inability of pulmonologist to see me had to go to Primary on January 4 for followup. Then it got very confusing as to whether I had pneumonia or not, but as the Levaquin worked evidence appeared so. However, dosage ran out on January 10 and no one to determine whether to refill. At that time I felt much much better but not completely well. Went to new pulmonologist on January 15 and had worsened so he immediately prescribed more Levaquin. Condition actually deteriorated first couple of days and about fourth day started improving. Now, today, I'm back to the nearly well stage but not completely. However, recognize I don't have enough real experience to know if the pain is from the pneumonia residual or general deterioration. But, regardless, I just called office of new pulmonologist with update and have been assured information will be given to doctor (oh nurse not intercepting and playing doctor, what an improvement) and I would receive a call back today. I suspect safety would at least provide a few more days to prevent falling back like the first time. I feel like if I'd had 20 consecutive days, I would be completely over it by now. However, I'm really feeling quite fine. I just don't want it to deteriorate back to where it all started. > > Bruce, > Yes, I was referring to the chest pain you said you > had due to the pneumonia. > > Hugs, > Gwynne >
Guest guest
Bruce...I'm poking my nose in here to your post to Gwynnie.. I'm allergic to contrast dye as well but there is an injection available, given before scan and Bingo...no problems. Maybe you have other reasons. >>>>Another subject>>>> Hey, everyone...go to flameless candles. They are wonderful. Check out QVC. Guest guest
Sher My problem is kidneys. My creatinine level is elevated and function maybe a little lower than normal for my age although has stabilized it seems for a while and I'm aging, so catching up. The risk is shutting down the kidneys. There is actually something to be given for that as well, but my doctors have told me its still quite dangerous and only in a matter of life or death. > > > > Bruce, > > Yes, I was referring to the chest pain you said you > > had due to the pneumonia. > > > > Hugs, > > Gwynne > > >

Guest guest
Peggy 's on a trip. My trip wasn't dangerous at all. And my kidneys aren't that bad. Last I knew 60-65% of normal. Neprhologist said until it reached 10% wasn't his field. And they haven't changed for quite a while. I'm determined my kidneys and everything else are going to outlast my lungs. With your granddaughter, hopefully the one will be fine. If it has problems I'm betting there is someone in the family who matches. But hopefully it will never come to that. > > Bruce, you have enough on your plate to deal with.
