Guest guest
Cancer Fatigue Study Dear Support Group member We have received the email below regarding research into cancer-related fatigue. If you would like to find out more or get involved, please contact Pertl on pertlm@... or call her on the numbers below. Dear Sir/Madam, My name is Pertl and I am carrying out a research study on cancer-related fatigue, funded by the Irish Cancer Society. I was wondering if the study might be of interest to some of your support group members. The aim of the research is to investigate the causes of cancer fatigue and the factors that contribute to the development of chronic fatigue in some cancer patients. I am especially interested in patients' own views about their fatigue, the factors they believe contribute to it, and the coping strategies they use to manage this symptom. Any patient who is currently being or has previously been treated for cancer and is experiencing fatigue can participate in this study. Participation just involves filling in a questionnaire which can either be completed on-line or in hard copy. If you have any questions or if you would like me to send you more information, please let me know. If you think some of your support group members might be interested in the study, I would be happy to discuss the research further with you. My number is +35386 8900123 or you can reach me at this e-mail address. I look forward to hearing from you.
